LANDPROCESS – Winners of the 2019 WLA Awards – Built Large – Award of Excellence for Chulalongkorn Centenary Park
To be eligible projects must be a concept or built during 2016 - 2019. Projects which have won in previous years are ineligible.
The international panel of judges had to choose from more than 175 entries for this year’s winners, with the quality so impressive many categories were decided by just a point or two.

LandLAB’s design for a floating social and ecological activation device for Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour picked up the Merit prize in the conceptual category. Island Motutere is a research and experimental project exploring how the ideas of tactical urbanism, place-making and strategic activation can be applied to, and rejuvenate an urban waterfront.
LandLAB’s design allows for several islands that can be towed around the harbour and used for different purposes.
An island could be used as a backdrop for corporate events, such as a swimming pool or a platform for an orchestra. It could also be the deck of a boat or an urban coastal forest.
Entries for the awards close on March 14 next year. For more details visit the WLA website.
All landscape architects who have graduated from or currently studying in landscape architecture at a university are eligible to enter the WLA Awards.
