COVID-19 - a lockdown message from the NZILA President

NZILA Tuia Pito Ora is very mindful that the restrictions that have been put in place by the government are about saving lives in Aotearoa, writes president Brad Coombs.

Being kind to each other by observing the movement restrictions, in particular, is the best way that we can look after our families, friends and the communities that we live and work in.

We feel for those clients and project partners that are most affected by the lockdown - particularly in the hospitality, travel, tourism and development industries. We are here to support you as a profession in the long term.

The NZILA Tuia Pito Ora is very aware that the next month or so will be an uncertain time for many within our profession. We are working on ways that we can stay in contact with our members. Why not take some time and review some of the world class presentations from our recent conferences.

Many of our members have decanted back to home offices and will continue to look after clients and projects as best as they can without being able to get out to sites or for face to face engagement with clients and project partners.

NZILA Tuia Pito Ora is looking at ways that we can continue to provide services to our members during the lockdown period and how we can re-engage with members after the restrictions are lifted. We will be in touch more often over the next few weeks.
