NZILA team presents to NBE select committee

Members of the NZILA Working Group for RMA Reforms have presented the Institute’s submission to the Natural and Built Environment Bill select committee hearing.

The public oral presentation was held in yesterday with Shannon Bray, Di Lucas and Rhys Girvan, as appearing in person in Wellington and NZILA President Henry Crothers appearing via zoom. It was live-streamed on the Environment Committee’s FaceBook page and you can see the full presentation in the second half of the video below.

Henry introduced the team to chair Eugenie Sage and the other members of the committee before Shannon, Di and Rhys continued.

Henry told the committee that as a professional institute representing registered landscape architects, NZILA and its members are passionate about the importance of landscape and its planning, assessment and design and it’s ongoing relationship with these reforms. He explained the submission is supported by the NZILA’s Executive team and the institute membership.
