Ngā mihi o te wā

This time last year we were signing off for 2020 with phrases like “next year can only be better.” Then came Delta - and now Omicron and the rest is unfortunately not quite history.

But there is a great deal to look forward to in 2022 for the landscape architecture profession including the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Tuia Pito Ora New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects.

This will be celebrated at The 2022 NZILA Firth Conference at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland, 25 - 27 May. The conference theme is “Ka mua, Ka muri (walking backwards into the future)”.

The Resene New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architecture Awards 2022 will be announced on Friday, 27 May 2022 at the Awards Gala Dinner, also at the Cordis Hotel. Entries close on 28 January next year.

We are always keen to hear from you with story ideas, projects to profile and the issues which are affecting the landscape architecture profession. You can email us here in the new year with all your ideas.

But for now we will sign off for 2021 by wishing you all a wonderful festive season and look forward to working with you all in 2022. Ngā mihi o te wā.
