Welcome to 2022

Welcome to 2022 which is expected to be a significant one for the landscape architecture profession.

This year Tuia Pito Ora New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects will commemorate its 50th anniversary and in coming months we will keep you updated about how this will be marked.

One way will be the 2022 NZILA Firth Conference at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland, 25 - 27 May. The conference theme is “Ka mua, Ka muri (walking backwards into the future)”.

The Resene New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architecture Awards 2022 will be announced on Friday, 27 May 2022 at the Awards Gala Dinner, also at the Cordis Hotel.

You have just 11 more days to enter. Entries opened in November last year and will close on the 28th of January. You can find more information here on how to enter.

We are entering the third year of the global pandemic which is likely to continue to affect the way we work but exactly how is still uncertain as we watch the Omicron variant sweep through the world.
